There are some National Parks and Monuments where you just have to go with a straight-ahead name, rather than something more general. Grand Canyon, for example. Or Abraham Lincoln Birthplace. And you would have to put Arches in that category. With that name, you would expect to find some arches, and you will not be disappointed.
There are reportedly about 4500 arches here, ranging from about 3 ft. spans to much larger, such as Landscape Arch which you see here. We probably saw less than 1% of the arches, but that’s still a lot of arches. The short hike out to Delicate Arch is highly recommended.
