Even though we’re continuing to see a little rain every few days, the native grasses are starting to turn golden brown.  Maybe they change based on the warmer days or longer daylight.  Apparently the amount of water they’re getting doesn’t make a difference.  They’re saying, Hey, it’s going to be summer soon, I’m turning brown.  Who’s with me on this?  You listening to me, non-native grass?  I see you’re still green – don’t think you’re going to get watered all summer long, that’s not how it works here.  Listen to me, I’ve been here and know what I’m talking about.  (says the native grass.  chatty fellow!)
