I’ve been a fan of the Asics 2xxx series of running shoes for a long time, but was less enthusiastic about their adaptation of that as a trail shoe.  In a rare show of brand disloyalty, my new trail shoes are the Brooks Adrenaline.  This shoe is supposed to go from road to trail without complaint, and is a good fit for the mild pronator with a narrow foot.  That’s me in a nutshell.  The guy at Runner’s High in Menlo Park recommended them as an alternate when they didn’t have the Asics 2140 trail shoe on hand in my size.  And boy, this was a great suggestion.  I’ve used them on a hike last weekend in Skyline Ridge, and yesterday evening running Edgewood Park trails.  It’s like I have new feet.
