anchors away

We’ve removed some wall-mounted shelves from the laundry room, and a bunch of those plastic wall anchors remained – these are used for attaching things to drywall; when a screw goes into the anchor it expands behind the drywall for a secure connection.  But how do you get them out, that’s what I wanted to know.  In my first attempt I tried prying them out with a screwdriver – that left behind big holes and some significant patching.  So I turned to ye olde World Wide Web for help, and right away I found the answer.  Just put a screw back into the anchor a little ways, and you can wiggle the anchor out of the wall.  Thanks, Internet!
